Concord Introduces Drag-and-Drop File Uploads!

Starting October 7, 2024, admin users can drag-and-drop Word and PDF files from their desktop straight into Concord!

That means no more zipping multiple files or clicking through upload sequences. Just drag files directly into Concord’s Document Inbox, and they’ll upload automatically.

Let’s take a closer look at how this feature works.

Drag and drop into your inbox or a shared folder

Admins can now drag and drop one or more PDF and Word files directly from their computer desktop into Concord’s Document Inbox, or into specific shared folders. No need to zip files or go through multiple steps — just select your files, drag them over, and drop them in!

Files upload automatically when you drag-and-drop them into Concord

Concord automatically uploads the files you drop in, all at the same time. This is ideal for handling batches of contracts or related documents in one go. A visual indicator will show where your files are about to be dropped, whether in the main inbox or a specific folder.

Concord provides status updates on uploads

A green banner will appear when the upload is completed, confirming “Your upload is complete.” If any issues arise — like unsupported file types or upload failures — error messages will notify you immediately.

Maximum 30 files per drag-and-drop action

To keep performance smooth, the maximum number of documents per drag-and-drop upload is set to 30. This limit is consistent with the current restrictions for Concord’s single document upload feature.

Who can use the drag-and-drop feature?

This new drag-and-drop upload functionality is currently available for admin users only. This ensures that users with the appropriate permissions can take full advantage of the streamlined process.
